Aubrey: Aubrey Peanut Festival

October 5, 2013 (All day)

Aubrey Peanut Festival dates to 1986, when residents began celebrating the harvest of the local cash crop.  Today it honors the area's peanut heritage and includes a full slate of activities, including live music street performers, gunslingers, and over 100 arts and crafts booths.

The festival begins on first Saturday of October at 10:00 a.m. with the parade.  The theme for the parade for 2013 is Steampunk - reuse, recycle, and re-purpose.

The event is held at the Aubrey Festival Grounds located at 301 South Main Street, Aubrey, Texas 76227.  contact information:  www.AubreyPeanutFestival.com; email:  aubrey@AubreyPeanutFestival.com;  (940) 343-1313.
