Farmers Branch: Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival & Chili Cook-Off

Repeats every week until Sat Oct 17 2015.
October 16, 2015 - 4:30pm to 10:00pm

Coming up on October 16 from 4:30 pm to 10 pm & 17 from 11:30 am to 10 pm is our annual Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival & Chili Cook-Off. Held in the beautiful Farmers Branch Historical Park will be a weekend of free family fun. We welcome Lee Ann Womack to the stage this year along with numerous other bluegrass stars.

Mark your calendars for the Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival & Chili Cook-Off because we have an exciting addition to the musical line-up this year that you don’t want to miss out on. For 2015, we welcome Lee Ann Womack to the list of great artist playing at the event! The grammy-winning vocalist has ties in country music but her love for bluegrass has transpired onto her own records and we can’t wait to hear it live! Womack will join many bluegrass stars on stage.

But the entertainment doesn’t end there! Your entire family will have a fun-filled weekend shopping at the arts and crafts marketplace with shops selling one-of-a-kind items and visiting the rose garden for the Celebration of Roses! The Kidzone will also be open with more activities like a petting zoo and face painting, and for an extended period of time! And come hungry because you won’t want to miss out on the Chili Cook-Off. With over 30 participants in last years’ event, you’ll want to arrive early to sample them all out!
The Historical Park will be jammin’ away on October 16 & 17. Event details are located online at
