Pilot Point is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the filming of the 1967 Bonnie and Clyde at our 8th annual Bonnie and Clyde Days in Downtown Pilot Point. This annual festival commemorates and reenacts the filming of the bank robbing scene from the iconic movie starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. The Farmer’s and Merchant’s Bank, located on the northwest corner of the square, and was used during filming. The Bank still stands today and is used as a gallery to exhibit early Texas artists. Come out to Pilot Point and enjoy performances from local dancers and gymnasts, a pie eating contests and live music. The schedule of events also include rock climbing, bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, a class car show, Model A car show, antique tractor show, and live radio broad casts. In Pilot Point, we pride ourselves on being the cabinet capital of the world with 25 local cabinet shops. Every year, the cabinet shops participate friendly competition by building and racing soap box cars at the Cabinet Maker’s Soap Box Challenge. The evening will culminate with live performances from Brian “The Beerman” House and Brave Combo at the Western Son Distillery Stage. Bonnie and Clyde Days is free for everyone to enjoy.
