Denison: Eisenhower Birthplace 70th Anniversary of D-Day Commemoration

The Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site will commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day on Saturday, June 7. The schedule of activities is as follows:

8 a.m. – Flag raising ceremony, performed by the Texoma Composite Squadron Tx-262 Civil Air Patrol
8:15 a.m. – A reading of the names of 1,007 June 6th, 1944 casualties. The names of the fallen will be read by local veterans.
10 a.m. – Wreath laying (wreath donated by Judy's Flower Shoppe, Denison, TX)
10:30 a.m. – Free tour of the Eisenhower Birthplace
11:30 a.m. – A showing of the movie "Countdown to D-Day" in the Red Store.
1:15 p.m. – Free tour of the Eisenhower Birthplace
