Whitney: Geocaching 101 Workshop

March 8, 2014 - 10:00am to 11:30am

Learn all about the growing outdoor challenge called geocaching: modern day treasure hunting! We will cover all the basics on how to get set up to play, the gear you need, the rules, and tips and tricks to start finding geocaches. We will have a few GPS units for use during the program but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have one. Once we cover the material we will be hiking around and finding several practice geocaches so be prepared to hike a short ways. Meet at the playground between the boat ramp and the shelter area.

Please bring drinking water, footwear appropriate for negotiating rough, unsteady footing and clothing appropriate for the weather. Families with children are encouraged to attend.
