Paris: "The Great War" Exhibit Opens at Sam Bell Maxey House

In honor of Armistice Day and the end of World War I, the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site presents “The Great War,” an exhibit covering what Sam Bell Maxey Long, his wife Lala Williams Long, and their cousin Sallie Lee Lightfoot were doing during World War I.

Visitors to the Sam Bell Maxey House will learn about the local Red Cross chapter, the Fatherless Children of France, and the Four-Minute Men, and will hear popular music from World War I.

This exhibit will be on display for the entire month of November.
