Livingston the Lion, a stuffed animal from the late 1800s, is hosting a sleepover for your stuffed animal, doll, or action figure on the night of Friday, August 7 at the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site.

Sign-in will be at the Maxey House from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for the sleepover. After introductions, Livingston invites all his new friends to stay for an early bedtime story and snack beginning at 7 p.m. At the end of the story, goodbyes will be said between the children and their toys as the toys get ready to stay overnight for their sleepover with Livingston at the Maxey House!

You can pick up your toys the next day (Saturday, August 8) any time between 1 and 3 p.m. We'll give you back your toy along with pictures of the all the fun that was had during the sleepover. Activities and yard games will be set up around the site for everyone to participate in on Saturday, including some of the activities the toys did so you can also join in the fun.

Pre-registration for this event is required as space is limited. To register for the event, please call the Maxey House at 903.785.5716 by Wednesday, August 5. There is no cost to register and participate in the event.
