Cooper: Orienteering / Compass Skills

August 1, 2015 - 2:30pm to 3:30pm

Meet the park ranger at Meet at Post Oak Amphitheater at DOCTOR’S CREEK and let’s go “orienteering”! What’s that you ask? It is the skill of using a compass to set a course using a map and moving from one point to another without getting lost. Learn the parts of a compass and how to use them. This program is especially good for scouting groups that are achievement oriented. Compasses will be provided. This program is fun for all ages. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No pets please. This program may be cancelled because of weather. Call the park office for updated information
