Sulphur Springs: Orienteering / Compass Skills

Learn how to navigate using a compass. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Meet the park ranger at Coyote Run Trail-head and let’s go “orienteering”! What’s that you ask? It is the skill of using a compass to set a course using a map and moving from one point to another without getting lost. Learn the parts of a compass and how to use them. This program is especially good for scouting groups that are achievement oriented. Compasses will be provided. This program is fun for all ages. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No pets please. Reservations required. This program may be cancelled because of weather. Call the park office for updated information and to reserve your spot for this event.
