Map

What began as a small private garden in 1972 is now a 35-acre scientific and educational facility that opened to the public in 2000. Over 50 different gardens of native Texas and Texas adaptable plants embrace waterfalls, lakes, ponds and winding pathways. Beauty abounds each season of the year! The West Garden area features a Historic Tree Trail These young trees are the genuine offspring of the original trees that witnessed the events and lives that shaped our nation. Booklets, with a map of the trails and a brief statement on each tree's history, are located at both ends of the main trail. Several different  G-Scale model garden trains, that replicate the historic rail system that ran through this area, meander through a section of the Park on 1,200 feet of track. Walk under seven foot high trestles that carry the trains through their miniature world of historic towns. Visit Clark Station, and see buildings made from natural plant materials such as grapevine tendrils, seedpods and pinecone scales! A large Plant Sales Area offers visitors the opportunity to take some of Clark Gardens' beatuy home. Numerous facilities, including the entire park, are available for weddings, receptions, corporate events and all types of functions.
