Denton: North Texas Horse Country Tour

National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame

Wind your way through the beautiful Horse Country of North Texas. The North Texas Horse Country, one of the largest concentrations of horse farms in the United States, offers a variety of breeds and disciplines. Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Paints, Arabians, Appaloosas, Warmbloods … they're here … and world champion horses abound in cutting, halter, roping, western pleasure, reining and many other disciplines. Large breeding farms, mare care, training facilities, equine suppliers, and equine specialists are available, making this area a mecca for professional horsemen and horse enthusiasts from all over the world.

The farms on the this tour are real working ranches, who may not be able to entertain individual tours at the last minute. If you would like to visit a ranch up close, we suggest you join one of the quarterly prearranged tours held by the Denton Convention and Visitors Bureau. Unless gate signage specifically invites drop-in visitors, please refrain from entering private driveways and stick to the main roads. This ensures safety for our visitors, our horses, and a positive visitor experience for everyone.
