
The rolling hills of Cooper Lake State Park, from the steeper hills of the South Sulphur Unit to the more gradual slopes of the Doctor's Creek Unit, offer spectacular views of Cooper Lake. The South Sulphur Unit offers equestrian camping and horseback riding trails. Riders are rewarded with panoramic views of the lake, rides through forest shade and many opportunities to view wildlife while riding the Buggy Whip Equestrian Trail. Other activities include camping, fishing, water skiing, picnicking, boating, swimming (unsupervised), hiking, bird watching, nature study, fun and educational nature programs, and tours.
